Beautiful place, gorgeous interior, plenty of items to look at.
It's been three years since I was at the inauguration/opening day for the Guadalupe bronze statues at the Shrine of Christ's Passion in Indiana. It's been a while since I've last been here, so I definitely wanted to take photos since I wasn't really able to before. I LOVE the details put into these bronze statues and It was truly wonderful seeing so many people come together to admire her all these years later; it was so packed with people that day. Here are a couple of pictures I shot last Saturday! She's truly so beautiful to see. It was great seeing these statues in person again.

This was the greatest, most moving place I have ever visited. I recommend at least once to visit.

A Wonderful Place to Visit — A Place of Prayer
This is a wonderful place to visit, a place filled with peace and prayer. Here, I was reminded of the great love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. I saw how Jesus suffered for all of us — for believers and unbelievers alike — so that we might have eternal life through Him.

“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.”
— Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)

Through His suffering on the cross, Jesus opened the door to salvation. He is the only way to the Father, the only path to heaven.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”
— John 14:6 (NKJV)
I gotta give huge kudos to all who put in such astounding work into the details here. Photos can’t do it justice. It didn’t even feel like I was in suburban Northwest Indiana. I recommend that you give yourself plenty of time here with no rush. Take it all in. Wear comfy walking shoes. Pause at each station (it’s a half mile walk; the distance of Jesus carrying the very cross He would be executed on).

I found myself getting emotional and realized that this is exactly what the Shrine is meant for. Not just a touristy stop. Entry is free, but what I left with in my spirit was priceless.
I absolutely love the walking the shrine when we come visit family in St John. Such a beautiful reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice and love for us.
The stations of the cross were great. The gift shop was massive. The Hallmark logo in close proximity to the sculpture of Jesus praying before going in the entrance was a little off putting. Generally a good experience.

No te preocupes:
- El lugar cuenta con bancas para sentarte y cubrirte de la sombra
- En la tienda de souvenirs hay baños limpios
Went well out of our way on the way back to our home from Michigan. The stop added 4 hours to the trip. Well worth it.
A wonderful and powerful experience. If you want to draw closer to Christ, do yourself a favor and visit. Also, the gift shop is amazing and the staff is delightful.
Beyond beautiful and very peacefull place alot of walking but worth every step .
I brought my 6 year old boy, 4 year old girl, and 2 year old girl for prayer and a workout, they loved it! They sprinted from station to station and guided by the Holy Spirit, discussed the station at thier level. We will definitely be visiting again
My family started a tradition 3 years ago to go every Easter. It’s also a great place to go to meditate and reflect on life.
A great experience, most if you are catholic like me
Love going to this place. Great place to think and pray.
It was a great experience I totally recommend you do a lot of walking so be ready for that.
If you live in what is now, these (un-'United' States... or abroad in 2025 or anywhere in Indiana or the surrounding states... this is a must see for (almost) everyone!!! The Shrine of Christ Jesus depicts the heartfelt crucifixion of Jesus Christ on Calvary near Jerusalem. Take your time and feel the intensity of what happened on Calvary - the days before and the days after! It is a directionally purposeful beautiful - unguided tour. (Donations are accepted on-site.) Take as much time as you need on this walking tour that pulls upon your heart!
With a little extra time, visit (walking distance) the property next door. From my understanding, the virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus - 'Our Lady of Guadalupe' is celebrated with love and adoration presented by our Mexican - Indian Heritage. Reference: Maps of the 1400's to 1800's -long before the United States took possession... This land was primarily Indian and Mexican territory. May the grace of God be with you - everyone!!! Blessings and Peace! M
Beautiful peaceful experience our youth group loved
