My wife noticed the sign on the side of the highway, I was coming to Merrillville for business. So we decided on Thursday we would visit. As you walk into the the GIFT SHOP , the feeling you have when you are standing at the door. It was a dark and somewhat rainy day, but had cleared up, the selection in the gift shop I have never seen anything like it. As we entered the trail, the FEELING that just came over you. My wife was in tears many times throughout the trail. It started to drizzle on us, we walked a few more minutes, the statues are amazing, feels so real, if your heart and love for Jesus is there. By this time it is pouring down rain. I asked if we should turn around and go back , because of the rain. We both thought a moment??? NO, NO .. LOOK what he did for us , this rain is NOTHING like what he went thru for us!!! We finished in the pouring down rain. NOT SURE IF THE RAIN MADE IT MORE INTENSE FOR US BUT IT WAS AND IS THE BEST THING WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. As we came out to leave... GOD BLESSED WITH THE PRETTIEST SUNSHINE WE HAVE EVER SEEN. I truly believe we didn't give in the storm. It's what you make of it. !!! please go , please have your heart open. GOD is always GOOD.

I'm disappointed in the amount of photos taken. They do ask respectfully that you don't take pictures. With that said it is an eye opening experience for all.

Bardzo ciekawe miejsce. Wielki asortyment proponowane artykułów w sklepie z dewocjonaliami. Co rzadko się zdarza bo jest tam nawet kawiarenka i toalety. Ciekawostką może być fakt, że sklep ten, w ostatnim roku, dostał lokalną nagrodę najbardziej atrakcyjnego sklepu w regionie.

I really enjoyed my visit here. It was very peaceful and nice reflecting at each station. The readings at each station and the ambiance of the music makes it even better. The gift shop is huge! I recommend planning a couple hours to be here. If you have a group, call before your trip to request a guide.

Unexpected delight on our way somewhere else. Would have missed it had I not caught the Attraction sign by the side of the highway. Glad we stopped by!!Stations of the cross, Moses on Sinai, and a cute gift shop. Grounds are surprisingly expansive.

A very nice Catholic shrine with a very kitschy gift shop. They’ve recently added an Our Lady of Guadeloupe Shrine which is very attractive to the faithful Hispanic community of the area. And best of all it’s free. A lovely place to visit.

Lots of places to meditate,walkable and quiet place even just to relax for a day or few hours.Since it's away from restaurants,maybe cafeteria can ha v e more menus for breakfast n lunch especially for people who come n visit from out of state.Beautiful n not too expensive religious articles in the gift shop.

I had the absolute blessing of spending my Saturday at The Shrine of Christ’s Passion in St. John, Indiana. The beauty of this place took my breath away. From the incredible statues to the awe-inspiring work of the artists who brought each moment of Christ’s Passion to life, every detail reflected God’s presence and love.Walking through the Shrine, I felt such peace and learned so much both from the art and the message behind it. The gift shops are full of unique and meaningful treasures that you won’t find anywhere else, perfect for gifts or keepsakes.If you’re looking for a truly moving and faith-filled experience, this place is a must-visit. I’m so grateful I was able to spend time here, and I can’t wait to return.

I was told about this place by my physical therapist since we were going to be in that area. We went on a Friday afternoon after picking up my mother in law. You enter through the gift shop in order to enter the prayer trail/walk. The gift shop has so many things to see and buy. From religious items, toys & crafts for the children, jewelry, fragrance, decorations, books and greeting cards. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for any religious gifts for a communion or just gifts in general for someone or yourself. The prayer path was a very nice walk and very respectfully done showcasing Jesus' path leading to his crucifixion. You were walking the path of Jesus. It's about a half mile for the walk. We were there on a Friday and walked almost to the end but had to walk back because it was going to be too much for my mother in law. My husband and I went back today again and finished the walk as well as seeing the Moses at Mt. Sinai display which took 3 years to create , and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine. We would definitely reccomend anyone looking to see something different and experience something extraordinary to take a visit. The walk itself is beautiful and eye opening.

This Place is amazing truly breathtaking! It was bigger than I expected so much to do and the store is also huge.

Everything was amazing. I visited with my three children and they took pictures. I love the visual arts to help bring this story home my children aged 6,7, and 15 we all in awe as we followed the prayer trail. I will visit again by myself my children kept interrupting my prayers. Also it’s free they only ask for donations via a small box so please look for the donation box and donate before you leave. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Word's don't really do this magnificent place justice; it's all about what you experience while you're there. I fell in love with this place about 6 years ago, it's peaceful, beautiful, serene, magical, and the presence of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is alive and well there. I thank God for whomever came up with thr idea to create this marvelous place, I thank God for the staff as well. No matter what you're going through, how you're feeling, when you start to walk on the Prayer Path it will leave you before you enter back into the gift shop! Thank you all for the wonderful experiences and may God continue to richly bless you and continue to build and create more Biblical scenes and tell the stories.

I work for Wintrust’s travel group Platinum Adventures & we brought a group of 26 people to the Shrine. To say it was a moving experience would be an understatement! The staff is amazing & so knowledgeable making the experience that more meaningful! The gift shop is second to none with such a large variety of items. I go on lots of trips & I can say I’m excited to plan another trip back soon!

This is a great place to visit. my husband and I have visited more than once. We are Protestant but this is the shrine of Jesus Christ. no matter what denomination you are if you know Jesus or love Jesus visit this place.

It allows you to go back into time and walk the road of Via Dolorosa with Jesus Christ..

When you reach the end and see him on the cross, the emotions is so strong is like being in the presence of the Lord.

The Ascension scene is very emotional and touching. If you love the Lord; you need to go see the shrine. Churches need to take field trips, Sunday Schools to the shrine.

You will not leave there feeling the same way that you did when you came.

I knelt with Jesus in The garden of Gethsemane. So very close to the real thing that you feel the spirit of God.

The same way when you feel the spirit as you read the word and get into the word.

I believe this place was ordained by the Lord
